Open the Floodgates to Wealth and Abundance

When you're serious about making money, you look for the principles that successful people use. When I address corporate audiences, entrepreneurs and hundreds of students at Academy of Art College, I emphasize principles. The power is found in this process: see what is working and extract a principle of how it works, and then apply it to your unique situation.

Here are six principles to help you expand your prosperity:

  1. Love what you do
  2. Reward people
  3. Give more
  4. Ask for more
  5. Create Multiple Vehicles
  6. Learn the Dance of Money
1. Love what you do.
Imagine that the Genie from Aladdin is sitting next to you. "You can have anything you want - when you tell me some happy moment in your life when you were serving someone," says the Genie. It can be any moment at all. Perhaps, you drew a picture for a parent. Perhaps, you helped someone find a DVD. Tune into the energizing feelings of helping someone. What you love to do is your clue to something you can do to open the floodgates of wealth and abundance. The fundamental reason is: when you love to do it - you will do more of it! I'm writing this a 3:45 AM because I love to support you in your journey for success and fulfillment.

2. Reward people.
Do you want more referrals? - reward people for giving them to you. For example, see Stars of Referral. I give gifts as a thank you gesture to people who give me referrals.

3. Give more.

4. Ask for more.
What do you do the best? What is your natural brilliance? Emphasize it. Consider asking your supervisor, "What is most important for me to do here, so I can earn a raise?" Also, it may be possible to talk with a client and say, "I really like working with you. And, I'm interested in 'earning a raise.' What is most important to you, for me to do here, so we can feel good about my raise?" Every successful person has a story about when they took the leap to ask for more. CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL co-author Jack Canfield talks about how his voice broke when he first asked for $800 per day. Now, Jack has joined the $20,000 a speech level.

5. Create Multiple Vehicles
To bring in more money this year than any year before, you will need to do something differently. Working for an hourly wage has a built-in ceiling. Instead, start building something. Create multiple vehicles for making money. For example, through this web site and others I make money while I sleep. Furthermore, this web site works for me by conveying the results I achieve, and it builds my credibility.

It is crucial to create multiple vehicles because you don't know which vehicle or stream of income will become red hot! Also, some of your ideas will not work. As more than one millionaire said, "You only need to be right 51% of the time." I add that you need to learn how to create products while lowering your risk at the same time.

6. Learn the Dance of Money
The dance of money is a metaphor for the process of giving exceptional value, alerting many people to what you offer, and gaining compensation. You need to:

  • Choose vehicles to make money
  • Learn how money processes work
  • Gain the training in product/service creation
  • Create a quality product or service
  • Gain the training in self-promotion and marketing
  • Tell many people what you are offering
  • Expand your self-image so you consistently take action
